Dina Yerlan

Hi, I'm Dina Yerlan πŸ‘‹

I like to build products, currently focused on making superintelligent healthcare a reality. Previously did many things and studied CS and HCI at CMU. My work is guided by the conviction that the future is bright and beautiful, but it won't simply arrive - it must be engineered.

When I am not working, I’m probably reading, watching incredibly detailed movie reviews or getting lost in some new rabbit hole. I like to walk, aiming for 15k+ steps a day. I love 🐢🐢🐢 and will cancel my plans to dogsit for you.

I live in San Francisco. You can find me on twitter or just email me at dinayerlan01 at gmail dot com.

I'm interested in the following topics. If you have thoughts, I'd enjoy hearing about them!

  • The real innovation was the internet. How can we generate novel, planet-scale datasets to advance science and medicine? There are many ways to do this, but we need to do it on compressed timelines.
  • The delta between what we know and what we could know about our bodies is huge. I am trying to quantify myself (currently wearing a gcm, oura, and three other wearables) and log everything possible.
  • I want to learn more about the history of technology, especially as we are inching towards AGI. It is fascinating how simple inventions like the domestication of the horse, paper and ink, and antisepsis radically reshaped our history.
